Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 9 July 2026
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes activities that are prohibited on Sky Hostify's network and Services. It applies to all customers, users, and any content hosted on Shared Hosting, VPS Hosting, or Dedicated Server accounts. Violations may result in content removal, suspension, or termination as described in our Terms of Service.
2. Prohibited Content
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
- Malware, ransomware, viruses, or other malicious code.
- Phishing pages or content designed to impersonate another person or organization.
- Child sexual abuse material or content exploiting minors, in any form.
- Content that violates applicable U.S. law, including the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512) and the CAN-SPAM Act.
3. Prohibited Activities
- Sending unsolicited bulk email ("spam") or operating open mail relays from our network.
- Launching or participating in denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, port scanning, or network intrusion attempts against any system.
- Cryptocurrency mining that degrades shared infrastructure performance for other customers.
- Reselling or exceeding allocated resources in a way that impacts the stability of shared servers.
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or network not owned by you.
- Operating public proxies, IP stressers/booters, or file-sharing trackers that generate abusive levels of traffic.
4. Fair Use of Resources
"Unmetered bandwidth" and "unlimited storage" on Shared Hosting plans are subject to fair use in line with typical usage for the plan's intended purpose (websites, blogs, small stores). Accounts that consume disproportionate CPU, memory, or I/O relative to other customers on the same server may be asked to upgrade to a VPS or Dedicated plan.
5. Network and Security
Customers on VPS and Dedicated plans are responsible for securing their own operating system and applications, including timely security patching. Servers found to be compromised, participating in botnets, or actively attacking other systems may be suspended immediately, with notice provided as soon as practicable.
6. Reporting Abuse
To report suspected abuse originating from our network, email support@skyhostify.com with details including relevant IP addresses, URLs, and timestamps. We investigate all abuse reports and take appropriate action.
7. Enforcement
Sky Hostify reserves the right to remove content, suspend services, or terminate accounts that violate this AUP, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation. Where legally required, we will cooperate with law enforcement requests related to prohibited content or activity.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy periodically to reflect new threats, legal requirements, or platform changes. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
